Ms. Savur brings with her a rich experience of more than two decades
in developing and creating arts integrated educational system for schools focussing on knowledge ,skills and attitude & values.
She worked as a teachers’ trainer cum teaching aids designer with Parisar Asha Mumbai Based NGO for 10 years. Next 10 years were
full of corporate exposure in senior level management that included first IB school in Madhya Pradesh, Pidilite Industries
Ltd Birla Edutech Ltd. She was also the member of Experts Panel for the Board of NCERT Art & Aesthetics Department. As per the
last wish of Founder, Director of Parisar Asha, the late Gloria de Souza, Ms. Savur gave up her flourishing corporate career and
joined back Parisar Asha as the C.E.O to keep Gloria’s good work going. Ms. Gloria de Souza was the first Ashoka Changemaker
fellow who dedicated her life in revolutionising the education process and created a path breaking pedagogy, ESAL (Environmental
Studies Approach Towards Learning) which was an ideal alternative for the traditional rote-learning method. This pedagogy provided
a joyful and holistic learning system which not only enhanced the literacy and numeracy skills among the children but also inculcated
attitudes, values and skills. Ms.de Souza considered, Ms. Aarati Savur the most befitting person who could be reposed with the
responsibility of Parisar Asha.
Ms. Savur strongly believes that to bring about a positive change in the society, there is an ardent need to bring about continuous innovation in the education system. In 6 years time she has brought many positive changes in the organisation and in the society at large through various innovative projects, such as Eco-tech World School Program for those who can’t afford quality education. This is a complete school support program to provide 21st century educational technologies to all for a sustainable tomorrow. Another innovative achievement is first of its kind in India is a free parenting helpline to relieve the parents from their parental woes. She is working on many such innovative projects for the betterment of the society. In the last six years, the program has benefitted 55,000 students, 40,000 families and 10,000 teachers.
Ms. Savur dons many feathers in her illustrious cap. Recently she has been honoured with the ‘Maharashtra Guru Gaurav’ Award 2016 and Women Achiever Award 2016, Femina World Women Super Achiever Award 2017 and Indian Women Achiever’s Award 2017 for her outstanding contribution in the field of education.
Ms. Karnik holds a B.A and De.Ed degree in Marathi. She has worked in the field of education as a teacher and content developer over a period of 7 years. At present, she is adding value to the academic team as a content developer and trainer for Marathi in Parisar Asha.
She has a foundation of a convent education in her earlier years, and a rich heritage of Shantiniketan, founded by Rabindranath Tagore during her later school days. Moving to Mumbai, she completed her B.A and B.Ed degree from the University of Bombay, and B.Lib.Sc. (Bachelor of Library Science) from S.N.D.T. University.
Teaching from the environment, for the environment is her forte. She has a diversified experience in the field of education, enhancing multiple intelligences of learners under her care. She has taught in S.S.C schools for several years. For the last 16 years she has been associated with Parisar Asha as a Curriculum Developer.
Dr. Soans received her Ph.D in Geography, from Calcutta University and also holds a B.Ed degree to her credit. She has 37 years of rich experience as a teacher, educator and an administrator in I.C.S.E, S.S.C Board Schools and Junior Colleges. She is currently working as a Curriculum Developer and worksheet designer at Parisar Asha.
Ms. Iyer commenced her career as a Preschool teacher in an eminent International school. During her tenure, she was commended for her ability to redirect student exhibiting behaviour problems by directing disruptive pattern with positive behaviours. She actively served on a variety of school committees and focused on curriculum development.
Her career graph is speckled with many corporate names such as Birla Edutech, HCL, Tata Interactive Systems. She worked as a Subject Matter Expert to define appropriate, interactive and engaging Preschool Multimedia learning solutions to optimize learning experiences.
Currently, she is heading the Pre-primary department of Parisar Asha. Her job entails designing, developing and implementing dynamic curriculum for creative, fun and energetic learning environment that is student centric. She also helps in planning, coordinating with the schools and training and mentoring the teachers.
With a Masters degree specialization in Marketing followed by a 12 year stint with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Ms. Merchant then decided to follow her passion. She quit her banking career and enrolled for a course in E.C.C.Ed to begin a new chapter in her life as a teacher, at first with pre primary children and later in primary school, for 11 years. She has been associated with Parisar Asha since the last 5 years as a Curriculum Developer and Teacher Trainer for the Pre – Primary and Primary levels. She has been successful imparting trainings in Soft Skills, Mind Mapping, Storytelling and various other trainings for children and teachers. This helps her to do what she wants most that is to continue being associated with children and make a difference in the field of education!
Ms. Lavekar holds a Masters in Marathi and is also a trainer B.Ed teacher. She has worked as an Assistant Teacher at Shree Ram Welfare Society’s High School for 22 years and as a Supervisor for 3 years. She has been associated with Parisar Asha since 2013 and has been handling the curriculum development and training for Marathi.
Ms. Marina holds an MBA in HR from Jamnalal Bajaj institute of Management Studies. She always was inclined towards making a difference in the education sector. She did her teachers’ training in Montessori. She has been associated with Parisar Asha for the past 7 years.
Ms. Sawant holds an engineering degree but is passionate about teaching. She has been working in the field for the past 5 years. She is currently working in Parisar Asha’s School Transformation Program as a Pre-primary teacher.
She holds a degree in B.F.A Applied Arts, from one of the most prestigious Art institutes in India, Sir J.J Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai.
She has been an advertising professional for over 10 years, with major work on brands like Society Tea. She is also a voice artist and has done voiceovers for more than 100 E-learning projects and Audio Visuals.
She has worked with Pidilite Industries as a freelancer before she joined Birla Edutech as an Art and Craft Content Developer in 2011.
She is a passionate designer and is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our design and creative output.
Currently she is the Design Head at Parisar Asha.
Ms. Sahsrabudhe has a Master's in Indology and a degree in Fine Art from Raheja School of art. she is a passionate artist. Over the years she has explored various facets of art & craft. She has been working in this field for 7 years. She has conducted workshops for corporate, teachers, students. Prior to joining Parisar Asha, she was working with Birla Edutech Ltd. as an Art & Craft Curriculum Developer.
Ms. Ahuja is an applied theatre practitioner. She is trained from Sri Ram Centre for performing Art and Culture (Delhi) and holds a Masters in Applied Theatre, from Foundation for Liberal and Management Education from FLAME, Pune on fellowship. She has done her B.Ed. from Allahabad University. She has worked as an artist/ teacher for 5 years at National School of Drama (NSD) in their wing called Theatre-In-Education Company, Delhi. There, she worked with eminent theatre practitioners as a performer and facilitator. She has been conceptualizing and facilitating children workshops and plays since 2006.
She has also been bestowed with a scholarship in the field of theatre, from Government of India, Ministry of Culture. Prior to joining Parisar Asha, she has been associated with Birla Edutech Ltd Mumbai; as a Curriculum developer. She has also designed and executed drama- in-education workshops for NGOs called Project Crayons and Navnirmiti. She has been associated as a Content Developer and faculty with Killol Kala Akademy.
At Parisar Asha, she conceptualizes and conducts need based workshop for teachers, principals, parents and students.
Ms.Manisha Mallya is a language consultant, with an M.A., M.Ed. degree, possessing a rich and myriad experience of over 20 years, across grades and curriculum of various boards, in the Educational and School Administrative field. An educator who firmly believes that learning is a lifelong process. Being a facilitator she ensures holistic growth and development of students, teachers as well as parents. She is an excellent trainer, an inspiring mentor and a positive motivator who has conducted innumerable workshops and training sessions for various kinds of learners.
Ms. Navalkar holds an M.Sc from St. Xaviers and has done her B.ED. She has been a very resourceful, energetic professional involved in all levels of student development, including cognitive expansion, behavior modification and social growth. She has more than four decades of classroom experience, combined with teacher mentoring, consultant for eductional programmes in various school, creating and editing academic content for school books and e- books across ICSE, CBSE, SSC boards, community service and organisation associations especially in nature education and waldorf inspired methodologies. She specializes in teaching Mathematics and Science to students from Grade [8th –10th]. She has been an examiner in theory & practical papers of Science and Mathematics for the State Secondary Board Examinations, Mumbai. She has been a moderator for S.S.C Geometry Examinations and has extended her service for online tutoring to students from US. Having traveled widely, she has enriched herself with experience of educational importance.
Presently she is associated with Parisar Asha and has been working with the schools as a Mentor to monitor Parisar Asha’s signature program, Eco-tech World School Program.
Ms. Ramaswamy is an accomplished teacher, with a Masters in English Literature and a B.Ed degree. She gained a teaching experience of 22 years, in various Boards, SSC, CBSE, and ICSE. During her stint in the education space, she has gained immense experience as a teacher and a curriculum developer. She is also an accomplished script writer for wild life videos, a translator and is well versed in visual and performing arts. Today she shares her classroom experience, gained from working in schools in different states of India with her teaching fraternity. After having been actively involved in schools, she now pursues her passion for making learning interesting for students by mentoring teachers.
She is a Clinical Psychologist with an M. Phil in Clinical Psychology with distinction from Pune University. Along with this she also has a B.Ed and Diploma in Yoga Training. She has been working in the field of education for the past 22 years with various job profiles including Psychological test administrator at Jyana Prabodhini School, Pune, Lecturer in Psychology at Dr. D. Y. Patil College, Pune and Counsellor at O. P. Jindal School, Raigarh, Chattisgarh & MVHS, Mumbai. She has also pursued various courses in the field like Learning Disability from National Academy, Mumbai and courses like Life skills, REBT, Study skills for the benefit of the students. She has conducted various workshops for students as well as teachers on various topics like anger management, stress management, exam stress, pubertal changes etc. She has availed knowledge of dance/ art based / sand therapy, TAT and Rorschach interpretation, NLP, depression, autism. She has also been providing guidance and motivation to students from underprivileged social classes. She has given various Oral Presentations at University, State and National Level and also published a research paper in the National Journal of Psychology. Currently, she is working as a Clinical Psychologist for Positive Parenting and Child helpline initiated by Parisar Asha.
Ms. Ketaki is a Clinical Psychologist. She has been working in this field for the past 3 years. She has worked for kids with special needs where she has devised interventions for their overall development. She conducts remedial sessions and has been conducting workshops on various topics like Time management, Stress Management and Anger Management for college students, etc. She also conducts workshops for parents and teachers. She has conducted psychological assessments and also conducts individual therapy sessions. She has worked as a Clinical Psychology Intern at DY.Patil Hospital. She has conducted research on people with alcohol dependence and social drinkers as a part of her dissertation for M.A. She is also a certified REBT practitioner from the Albert Ellis Institute. Currently, she is working as clinical psychologist for Parisar Asha.
She is a Clinical Psychologist and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Mumbai University and has been working in the field since the past 3 years. She is also a National Level Gold Medallist Gymnast. She has worked as a School Counsellor, where she has dealt with students having learning difficulties, ADHD and other disorders. She has conducted various kinds of workshop on topics like effective study habits, stress management, time management for students. She has alos done trauma counselling for adult and children who are survivors of sexual abuse. Currently she is working as a Clinical Psychologist for Positive Parenting and Child helpline initiated by Parisar Asha.
He is a psychiatrist based out of Mumbai. He has completed his training at The Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi. He is working in the field of psychiatry for the pas 5 years. He has worked at Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital, Juhu Mumbai, for 2 years. He has conducted research in Substance Abuse and Schizophrenia.
He is majorly perturbed by the negative bias present in the society, regarding people with mental illness. He is always eager to do his bit to elevate their suffering and to create awareness in the community. Currently, he is working as Psychiatrist for Positive Parenting and Child helpline initiated by Parisar Asha.
Ms. Sridatta has a rich experience of 13 years in the field of corporate communication, advertising and content writing. She has worked with some of the leading brands like Green Apple Design, Pidilite Industries Ltd, ZEE Entertainment, Off the Record, Jasubhai Media Pvt Ltd, Birla Edutech, etc. She has been associated with Parisar Asha since 2013 and her role entails her to handle corporate social responsibility projects, strategic management, product development and management and handle media relations ( print & media). She holds an MBA ( Gold Medalist ) in Social Entrepreneurship from Narsee Monjee institute of Management Studies and an MA ( Gold Medalist) in Mass Communication and Journalism. She is also PRINCE2® Practitioner certified project management professional.
Mr. Macarenhas hold a Bachelors degree in Commerce. He has 13 years of rich experience in Marketing and Sales. He has worked in some of the most popular brands like Bharat Matrimony, Max New York Life Insurance and ICICI. Since 2013 he has been associated with Parisar Asha and looks into project promotions.
Ms Sippy has 4 years of experience as a business analyst and pharmaceutical sales in Healthcare organizations and brands like AstraZeneca. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj institute of Management Studies. She holds a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from K M Kundnani College of Pharmacy affiliated to Mumbai University. She has also represented India at the International level for a Throwball in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2008. She has been associated with Parisar Asha since 2018 and is working as a Project Promotion Officer.
