Gloria De Souza (the founder of Parisar Asha) realised the importance of proper education and took a step in 1982 to make a difference in society through the establishment of Parisar Asha. At Parisar Asha, we believe that we can create an impact in the lives of the people belonging to socio-economically marginalised sections of society by educating their children. As an NGO working in education, we have helped numerous students to understand and learn through unique ways of education that help them to grasp the knowledge in a much easier way. In a period of 40 years, we have witnessed a manifold increase in the number of beneficiaries because of our constant effort to create a better world for them. The majority of the children we teach are first-generation learners of their families. The parents of these children are illiterate or semi-literate individuals who do not earn enough to provide their children with a quality education.
Despite all the challenges faced, we have always remained committed to the cause and diligently followed our dream through a process-driven and child-centric approach to educate, empower, and encourage while providing opportunities to each child for holistic development.
We look forward to setting the finest example of versatility and dynamism through our work. We have a team of very talented people who work in close proximity with highly experienced and talented people from different parts of the country having diverse professional backgrounds. They belong to different sectors of professions such as the academic, corporate, creative and development sectors. This kind of input from diverse areas has helped us learn and grow with each other.
As an NGO working in education, we are very proud to say that till now we have catered to more than 3500+ schools through a complete School Transformation Programme – Eco-tech World School Programme and reached out to 2,70,000 teachers, 14 lakh students and 42,10,000 families. We aim to keep on reaching more students, teachers, schools & families and make an impact to change their lives for the better.
